Areas of Specialisation
Dr Bartholdy provides anaesthesia services for most general and orthopaedic surgery, with interest in plastic surgery, urology, and in gastroenterological procedures. He also provides adult intensive care services.
Professional Experience
Dr Bartholdy undertook his medical training in Berlin and Lyon, completing the Medical State Exam in Berlin in 2002. He then worked in Marseille for five years, attaining his Diploma in Emergency Medicine in 2007.
Roland moved to Queensland in 2009, working in intensive care and anaesthetics across Brisbane and the Gold Coast. He completed his anaesthetic fellowship in 2015 and his intensive care fellowship in 2017. Roland has also completed a graduate diploma in clinical ultrasound from the University of Melbourne.
In addition to working at major southeast Queensland private hospitals, Roland currently works at Princess Alexandra hospital as a specialist anaesthetist, and at Caboolture Hospital as a specialist intensivist.
Roland is also a consultant for retrieval and RSQ coordination with LifeFlight Queensland.
Other Interests
When not working, Roland enjoys cycling and bushwalking.
